Our Story
In 1985, Centreville Optical, (the parent company of BAHAMAS VISION CENTRE), began to offer quality optical products in a small retail store next to Dr. Rodgers` medical office on 3rd Terrace in Nassau. Over the last thirty years, Nassau has transformed tremendously as a city and we have changed locations twice in order to better accommodate the island`s growing population and the demand for a wider selection of eye-care products. However, our commitment to offering the same unfailing outstanding quality of service to our patients and customers has remained unchanged, and many of our original staff members are still with us after all this time. We opened our current location in the Harbour Bay Shopping Plaza in November of 2000, followed by our second office in Freeport, Grand Bahamas at Regent Centre West in 2001. In 2010, we officially changed our name to BAHAMAS VISION CENTRE. With almost 30 years of experience serving the Bahamian community, we are well positioned and able to offer our patients and customers quality eye care in addition to excellent style, selection and value at both our locations.
